In February 2025 Auscision released the NSW DEB set railcar which has been designed with the option of installing a speaker in the front HPF car and an additional speaker installed in the rear PF car.
 
Inside both the HPF and PF cars are 20×40 mm speaker enclosures designed for the ESU 50334 speaker
 
However, there is an important issue that needs to be addressed if you are planning to install a speaker in both cars.
YOU MUST NOT USE THE ESU 50334 20×40 speaker in the front and rear car, or you WILL DESTROY THE DECODER and as indicated by Auscision would void all decoder warranties.
 
Good news! 
DCC Solutions has a solution to the problem.
 
We stock 20×40 mm 8 ohm speakers designed to fit inside the Auscision speaker enclosure.
Installing two of these DCC Solution speakers would result in a safe 4 ohm impedance, suitable for use with ESU and Zimo Sound decoders.
 
If you choose to use Soundtraxx, TCS, Digitrax, QSI and MRC sound decoders that require an 8 ohm speaker, then you have no choice but to install only ONE speaker in your DEB Set.
