ESU LokSound SELECT Sound Decoder Function Mapping
The following information is supplied for users of the ESU LokSound SELECT Sound Decoders that have purchased this decoder from DCC Solutions.
It provides the Function Mapping Assignments, which are standard ESU factory function mapping settings for their Full Throttle Sound Files.
Note: Function mapping can vary between different ESU Sound Files as some sounds are not in all sound files, so use this a general guide.
All the functions, decoders settings and the DCC loco number can be reprogrammed to suit your own personal requirements.

Resetting the Decoder
Should the decoder require a factory reset due to an issue with the decoder, you have made incorrect changes or not satisfied with the changes, simply enter the value 8 in CV 8 then disable and reapply the power to activate the reset. This should be done on a “programming track” and not “programming on the main” as it will not work correctly. A decoder reset will return all CV values to the original ESU factory settings. Any programming changes made by DCC Solutions or you, the user, maybe lost and will be required to be reprogrammed. It is advisable that a record of these changes be kept.
